ive liked this guy for a while now but ive been afraid to tell him?
last night i had a sleepover and he came over for a while and then left but he was telling all of us how his gf is like doing all these bad things and how she keeps getting mad at him and he always seems sad but then hes like oh well she makes me happy sometimes. all of me and my friends( we have mutual friends) think that they should break up because he isnt happy hes just telling himself he is and we all told him that. now they told me that we should go out but ive always been afraid to tell him i like him because im afraid of rejection and i dont want to ruin our friendship because thats happened too many times. but i like him and we have so much fun together. should i tell him..or just try and get over it. its not like im crazy in love with him i just could see myself with him a long time from now and i like being around him

I appreciate that this is easier said than done, but guys do it all the time…I told my current boyfriend that I had wanted to ask him out but had been too scared, and he just asked me ‘Why?’ in confusion. So then I said I was scared of being rejected, so on. He told me that he just goes and tells someone if he likes them. Sometimes even really casually, ‘Oh by the way….I like you,’ and then if the other person feels the same way they’ll happily say so and he’ll ask them out.

If not he’ll just shug and say, ‘Ok, that’s cool’ and nothing is lost, he just knows for sure where he stands and can get over them. It’s that simple.

How to confront messy roommates?
I live with one girl in my room, and then two other girls (who I have very little contact with and do not know really at all) share my kitchen and living room. For some reason, these girls do not know how to properly dispose of food. When they pour out dishes of food, such as ramen, they simply leave the noodles in the sink, instead of sending them down the garbage disposal. They’ve left things such as pizza boxes sitting for a week or more at a time. My actual roommate is not QUITE as bad, but her trash is nasty, and she sometimes carelessly leaves open food items in our room. Now aside from it just being gross and irritating, we have a bad ant problem, and now I’m actually starting to get bit in my sleep. I want to talk to these girls in a way which gets me results, rather than provoke them and in turn get nothing, if not a worse outcome. I was thinking of leaving a note in the kitchen, but what exactly should I say, etc.?

Just leave a note and don’t call just them out…say something that includes you…..say something like " I think we have to be more careful about leaving food out and cleaning up after ourselves bc I’ve noticed we are getting a really bad ant problem." Don’t sign it you, etc. Just say something and say we. Even though you are doing your part…just so they don’t feel called out. Or you can just lie and say someone from the building knocked on the door and said if there are any ant problems in the unit to call that they are spraying and just say you noticed that and he gave you tips for trying to fix the problem..or something like that. That then takes the heat off of you. I would leave a note either way and avoid the face to face.

Situations like this can be very irritating. I understand. Ask your roommates if you can have a roommate meeting were you can divid household duties and chores. Remember that not everyone had the same up-bringing and may not know how to recognize or deal with their own mess. Be understanding of them and be considerate of them when you confront them. It is better to have unity than your way.

Ok, this one's going to be a long one..I am utterly confused and have no idea what to do..?
I have been with a guy for the past 8 years(engaged and legally married) but not yet done with the rituals. This means we both stay at our individual places with family and not together..He is a Fantastic Human Being and a great boyfriend/husband.(Lets call him John) The problem starts here..Somewhere in the third year of our relationship, there was an incident that bought in huge differences between us. (Na, none of us cheated, but too personal). We sorted it out and things were fine but i could personally never overcome the distance..Life went on..We set examples for friends in terms of how our relation was progressing..On the outset, everything looked like a fairy tale..But somewhere though he was an indeal husband and an ideal person, i never found the magic..I love him a lot and cant think of a life without him. Add to it the fact that he stood by me when I needed it the most..if not for anything..i cant give up on him for atleast that one fact..Now is the twist..I met a guy at workplace, we hit it off as friends and then the expected thing happened. I found someone I could connect to.someone i could laugh with and be myself..I had not kept this guy in any darkness and he knew I was engaged…My attraction towards him(Lets call him Robert) kept growing by the day and without even realising how far I had gone, my feelings foe him overshadowed my feelings for my guy. Especially after being physical, teh feeling seems to have become all the more stronger so much so that when my guy tries to come close it becomes really traumatising for me as I cant take anyone except Robert coming close to me. I am about to be married (ritual wise) in the next couple of months and have no clue what to do..The sad part of it is I dont know what Robert feels for me..The sex is amazing, he is very caring, but would never want to commit for marriage..He always tells me he has nothing for me and it was all for sex but somewhere deep down my heart I know he loves me too and does not want to let go.. Everytime we try to break up thinking its in our best interests to seperate from each other, we can hardly stay withou talking for more than a day or two..

I am so utterly confused..Can someone tell me what to do..

I can understand where your coming from because I’ve been in a similar situation. You just have to ask yourself what you really want, and I know that’s cliche but it’s true. Ask yourself if it’s really about the sex or do you truly love "Robert". This type of thing is never easy and someone will end up getting hurt, be it "John", "Robert", or yourself.

Have time to read a poem?
I normally don’t do this because I’m comfortable with my writing. However, poetry is NOT my specialty. But a professor wanted me to consider toying with one of my pieces for submission. It’s supposed to be a casual, narrative-type poem that reads almost like a story.

How do I tell if a EPT test is positive or negative?
I took a EPT test earlier and the negative line came up right away but within the minute some dots showed up above and below the negative line but not making a full complete positive line. Does this mean anything? I am almost 4 days past AF due date. Has this happened to anyone else?

Do you and the people around you enjoy your lives?
I’m a 25 year old guy and I’ve noticed that my buddies and my parents and siblings (I don’t live with them, but I talk to them still), always seem to have some kind of problem. Nobody ever talks about how great life is.

I have almost the same life as most of my buddies (I’m a blue collar guy from a small town), but I see it differently. Even if everything’s not perfect, I just want to laugh at things and to figure out a way to change what I really don’t like. Man, it’s not that bad … why don’t people see that?
