ive liked this guy for a while now but ive been afraid to tell him?
last night i had a sleepover and he came over for a while and then left but he was telling all of us how his gf is like doing all these bad things and how she keeps getting mad at him and he always seems sad but then hes like oh well she makes me happy sometimes. all of me and my friends( we have mutual friends) think that they should break up because he isnt happy hes just telling himself he is and we all told him that. now they told me that we should go out but ive always been afraid to tell him i like him because im afraid of rejection and i dont want to ruin our friendship because thats happened too many times. but i like him and we have so much fun together. should i tell him..or just try and get over it. its not like im crazy in love with him i just could see myself with him a long time from now and i like being around him

I appreciate that this is easier said than done, but guys do it all the time…I told my current boyfriend that I had wanted to ask him out but had been too scared, and he just asked me ‘Why?’ in confusion. So then I said I was scared of being rejected, so on. He told me that he just goes and tells someone if he likes them. Sometimes even really casually, ‘Oh by the way….I like you,’ and then if the other person feels the same way they’ll happily say so and he’ll ask them out.
If not he’ll just shug and say, ‘Ok, that’s cool’ and nothing is lost, he just knows for sure where he stands and can get over them. It’s that simple.

welll considering he has a girlfriend evn though you dont think he’s happy he’s with her and you need to acknowlege that hes with her and obviously he likes her of else he wouldnt put up with her or be with her. you just need to be a friend and hopefully they’ll break up and when they do wait a little while then tell him. because if you tell him know you neeed to think about the what ifs like what if you tell him and he stays ith his girlfriend for another month that will be awqard.

u know wats weird about this question…its that one of my friends told me dat he went to a sleepover with some girls but he didnt stay and i know he has a gf plus he also told me dat one of da girls from da sleepover was looking at him funny kind of like she liked him…exactly like your story
